4:30 February Tuesday Afternoon

She’s using a zimmer frame

She screams silently in pain

She’s still alive

But most days she doesn’t know why.

Her children pop round

If they can

She doesn’t really fit in

With their social plan

Now she’s

Waiting to die.

Waiting to die

Waiting to die.

There’s no point in starting to cry

Waiting to die.

Waiting to die

Waiting to die.

There’s no point in starting to cry

She’s a fire hazard

She’s a nuisance

She dreams of yesterday

When she didn’t feel useless

She wonders what’s the point

when she behaved herself for something

But all her friends are dead

And now she has nothing

Waiting to die.

Waiting to die

Waiting to die.

There’s no point in starting to cry

Waiting to die.

Waiting to die

Waiting to die.

There’s no point in starting to cry
